Les Ménèstrieres is a stunning example of classic white Burgundy. Made from sustainably grown Chardonnay. Golden yellow in the glass, the wine opens with aromas of fresh apples, pears, lemon zest and white flowers flecked with warm baking spice. On the palate, the wine is fresh and mineral, finishing long and framed by citrus zest and a touch of nuttiness. The name translates to “the minstrels” in English, and this wine sings alongside poultry, roasted potatoes, and seafood.
Handed down from father to son for four generations. Domaine Curveux is a small, family-owned vineyard in Fuissé, right in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation run by Guillaume Curveux. They farm responsibly with little inputs. Located in southern Burgundy, their vineyards comprise 8 hectares of vines spanning the three villages of Fuissé. Grapes are hand-picked. No destemming before pressing. Fermentation with selected yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks (malolactic depending on the acidity of the vintage.) Since 2020, the estate plots have been upgraded to 1er Cru status which is declaration of the quality of their wines.
