This Chateauneuf-du-Pape is spicy and complex and can be kept for years. In the past, you had to wait years for the wines to be drinkable. Nowadays it can be drunk after about three years. It is a powerful and firm wine, but very elegant and refined, rich in tannins and with a long and deep finish. The grapes come from 45-year-old vines. The color of the wine is deep ruby red. Very complex and rich aroma full of ripe red fruits, sweet spicy notes and a hint of pepper. “Les Cèdres” deserves a festive meal with top quality red meats or poultry and complete meals. Tasty cheeses will also lend themselves well.
