The 2019 Tïn (Sangiovese) was fermented and aged in amphora for ten months. That approach brings out a decidedly exotic, wild character. Hints of anise, dried autumn leaves, herbs, rose petal, mint, orange peel and sweet dried cherry are nicely lifted. At times, the Tïn reminds me of an aged Pinot Noir. It's a unique and compelling wine that will challenge readers' ideas of what Sangiovese in Chianti Classico is and what it can be. (Drink between 2022-2031) Antonio Galloni
