Fixin wine is produced in the communes of Fixin and Brochon in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy. The Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) Fixin may be used for red and white wine with respectively Pinot noir and Chardonnay as the main grape variety. The production of red wine dominates greatly, with around 96 per cent, and only around four per cent white wine. There are no Grand Cru vineyards with these communes.
“I think it was a fantastic year in the vines with no problems! I think it’s a high quality vintage unlike the amount of triage we had to deal with in 2023! On the other hand, 2022 needed watching the cuverie as the wines were far from stable depending on the weather – but I’m happy with how they look today – and they are energetic and rather fresh for the weather. A vintage that really harmonised with extra elevage we think.”-Sophie Noellat
