The 2015 La Sirene de Giscours is terrific. Deep and pliant in the glass, the 2015 offers superb intensity at this level. Crushed flowers, savory herbs, menthol, licorice and plums infuse this deep, pliant wine. This gorgeous second wine from Giscours is long on both texture and depth.
The 2015 La Sirene de Giscours is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. It has a slightly opaque nose with blackberry and boysenberry fruit, a touch of raspberry coulis developing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, quite harmonious in the mouth, smooth and silky with a fresh, chalky finish. This is a very decent second wine.
