The Southern Rhône-like blend of the estate, the 2019 Parvata checks in as 42% Mourvèdre, 32% Syrah, 21% Grenache, and the rest Cinsault and Counoise. It has a great, complex nose of earthy red and black cherries, tobacco leaf, pepper, leather, and truffle to go with a full-bodied, rounded, seamless, straight-up seamless, layered style on the palate. It's already hard to resist, yet I have no doubt it will evolve for 15 years if stored correctly.
"A scintillating blend of 42% Mourvèdre, 32% Syrah and 21% Grenache with just a touch of Cinsault and Counoise, the 2019 Parvata saw 20% new French oak before bottling. The hedonistic nose delivers dark currants and tar along with espresso bean, dried sage and blueberry compote. The palate is dense and beautifully textured, with a great veil of tension. An incredible spectrum of fruit, from red to dark to blue, combines with garrigue and stony undertones."
