Cuvée Nicolas is named after Jean-Marc and Eliane’s son and comes from a blend of Grenache grown in the red schist soils of the foothills of the Pyrenees in Asprès with Grenache from the back schist soils of Maury. These low yielding vines (19hl/ha) are around 65 years old and are planted on terraces with southern and southeastern exposure.
100% Grenache from 65-year-old vines from a vineyard at the foothill of the Pyrenees, and from parcels of the high valley of L’Agly. Grapes were hand-picked and each parcel vinified separately in open vats, with temperature control. The wine aged in Burgundy barrels from 12 to 15 months.

The dark-fruited 2020 IGP Côtes Catalanes Nicolas is 100% Grenache and made from vines averaging 65 years of age. Black cherries, with hints of strawberries, garrigue and crushed stone, appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is concentrated, framed by dusty tannins and bright acids.
