A rather small estate, producing just under 3,500 cases a year (as an absurd reference point, Kendall- Jackson produces 3 million cases a year…), this is a female-driven winery that regularly offers impressive value. Despite its size, the winery has been around for 200 years, placing an emphasis on a classic style throughout their lineage. Given the age of the estate, it should come as no surprise that the holdings are impressive. For instance, the Côte de Lechet, included this month, is a highly regarded vineyard (Tribut has some rows here), known for its Kimmeridgian-dominant soil. The winemaking style combined with terroir pedigree makes for an instant hit.

Here the nose clearly signals 'this is Chablis' with its aromas of quinine, citrus confit, iodine and tidal pool. The sleek, highly energetic and well-detailed middleweight flavors that exude evident minerality that carries over to the youthfully austere and impressively persistent finish. Lovely.
