Coppo's 2020 Barolo is a very pretty, inviting wine. Wild red cherry, spice, orange peel, cedar and pipe tobacco offer lovely aromatic intensity to play off the wine's pliant, open-knit fruit. Soft, creamy tannins wrap it all together through the sustained, silky finish. This is a fine Barolo. Drink it over the coming seven to ten years. - Antonio Galloni
The wine is assertive and forward, showcasing a harmonious blend of red and black fruits that evoke the richness of spiced preserves. A woodsy essence and a whisper of earthiness add a grounding dimension to the profile. The structure is firm, supporting a dark, almost brooding character with abundant notes of licorice, leather and savory spice with a finish that asks for a bit more time in the cellar.
