The Chardonnay muscaté that makes up a small percentage of this wine is a massal selection from Olivier Merlin's Mâcon Les Cras Vielles Vignes.
It's easy to forget that one of the best red wine producers in Pommard also makes a little bit of white wine too. Fermented in equal parts stainless steel and larger 500-litre wood, this is sappy and well-balanced with some stone fruit sweetness and crisp, balancing acidity. Very drinkable.
