Kosher for Passover
A fragrant nose of blackberries, dark cherries, peppermint, dried herbs and baking spices. Olives and cedar, too. Full-bodied with plush tannins. Layered and intense with plenty of dark fruit on the center-palate and a fleshy finish. Merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot, malbec and carmenere. Try from 2024.
The 2019 Tour Baladoz is a bold, fruity Saint-Émilion. Succulent dark cherry, mocha, sweet spice and chocolate give the 2019 its racy, exuberant personality. Pretty floral accents brighten up the finish. The 2019 is an easy wine to enjoy now and over the coming decade.
The first St Emilion estate bought by the De Schepper family back in the 1950s, and a little more traditional in feel that La Croizille next door. Here the oak is more subdued, the overall feel a little less polished. Still excellent quality blackberry fruits, dark spice and some earthy aromatics clear. 60% new oak.
