Sylvie Cazes and her daughter Julie Régimbeau own this 17,5-hectare estate near the Pomerol border and debuted their new winery with this very successful vintage. This is a pretty wine with a dark glossy colour; medium weight; a charming, rich nose offering scents of woodland fruit, plums, and autumn leaves. On the palate there is a lovely point of fresh purity and flavours of dark chocolate, licorice, and spice. There is lots of interest and layers of fruit and spice here which promises well for the future.

Edge of reduction on first nose, this is glossy and had vivid fruit character along with inky depths to the fruit, softened by raspberry around the rim. Careful extraction, this is a good quality Chauvin with firm muscular tannins well balanced by attractive slate-strewn blueberry and blackcurrant fruits. Syvlie Cazes and daugher Julie Régimbeau owners at this 17.5ha estate, with a new winery for the 2022 vintage.
