The base wine is a rose of Sangiovese from Angela's Chianti vineyards. The rose hues come from the grapes skins themselves, rather than any additives or caramels.
There are 34 botanicals ranging from wormwood, elderberry, sage, china, gentian, mint and juniper. All infusions are done separately in wheat alcohol of varying strengths for 40-45 days. After blending, the vermouth is rested for an addition 3 weeks before being filtered and bottled with no color additions. A delicate, well-balanced Vermouth, showing a perfect blend of Sangiovese and Botanicals, sweet notes of lavander and mint with a lightly creamy mineral texture on the palate. Medium froth, with some body and a pleasant herbal mineral finish.
