Colour: Deep mahogany colour. Nose: With a slight burnt touch, and a full, soft, somewhat raisiny flavour. Palate: Clean finish and a lingering sweetness in the mouth. Food Pairing: Serve to sip on its own as a comforting winter drink instead of a liqueur. Ideal for both aperitifs-accompanying pâtés-or for dessert with sweets, light cakes, coffee or nuts. Taste it on the rocks!
The NV Solera Cream is an old Oloroso mixed with sweet Pedro Ximénez and aged for a further three years. It's bottled at 18% alcohol and has 119 grams of residual sugar, which means it's quite sweet. It's a serious and old sweet wine, with notes of caramelized nuts and nougat. It has a round palate with sweetness, but it doesn't feel cloying. 2,600 half bottles were filled in March 2018, the first saca of 2018. The price is for a half bottle.
Sweet, with bitter chocolate, raisin and caramel flavors on a medium-bodied frame, this has cut and a tangy finish, keeping it in check and long on the aftertaste. Well done. Pedro Ximénez. Drink now.
